How to Arrive

The hotel is about two to two and a half hours drive from Athens. The road passes through cotton-growing plains before it starts climbing the mountain. Most of the time, there is nothing wrong with the roads but carry chains if you are driving up between December and March; this is not only a law, but wise, even if tarmac all the way to the hotel because conditions higher up can change rapidly.

There is no train station in Arachova. The nearest locations by train are Livadeia or Tithorea, but then a taxi transfer from there to Arachova will cost quite an amount. Direct and reliable KTEL bus service also plies this route from Athens (Liossion Station) to Arachova at an affordable rate. The bus drops you very close to the hotel, so if driving and parking stress you out, then this option should work for you.

The car remains the biggest logistical hassle once you get to the hotel. Since it sits on the main narrow street, technically your car cannot stay parked out front for long. You will probably have to hurry and unload your bags, then move your car either to the municipal parking lot or hunt for a space on one of the peripheral roads. On weekends traffic can be literally bumper-to-bumper in Arachova, so patience is advised.
